Knob interaction modes
In the Ricepad's settings pane you can specify how to interact with knobs and encoders. The following options are available.
Rotary
To rotate a knob, touch it and describe a circle with your finger around it.
Horizontal
Drag the knob to the right to turn it clockwise, to the left to turn it counter-clockwise.
Vertical
Drag the knob upwards to turn it clockwise, downwards to turn it counter-clockwise.
Horizontal + Vertical
Like the Horizontal mode, by dragging the finger left and right you will turn the knob counter-clockwise and clockwise respectively. In addition, also vertical movements will make the knob to rotate:
-
clockwise: if your finger is at the right of the center of the knob
-
counter-clockwise: if your finger is at the left of the center of the knob
This is handy for example when the knob is close to the right border of the screen and you want to rotate it clockwise: in this case you'll have to touch the knob and perform a vertical drag gesture maintaining your finger close to the border of the screen.
Vertical + Horizontal
This is the symmetric version of the Horizonal + Vertical mode. Specifically, by dragging the finger up and down you will turn the knob clockwise and counter-clockwise respectively. In addition, also horizontal movements will make the knob to rotate:
-
clockwise: if your finger is above the center of the knob
-
counter-clockwise: if your finger is below the center of the knob
